Heirloom redesign · Chicago

Grandmother's ring, remade in the Loop.

Inherited jewelry carries people, not just stones. Our in-house designer remakes heirloom pieces into jewelry you will actually wear, while the stones, the gold, and the story stay yours.

Common questions

Asked in almost every consultation.

Is it safe to reset an old stone?

This is the most common worry and the right question to ask. Every stone is examined by a GIA Graduate Gemologist before work begins, the setting is done in-house rather than shipped out, and the stone is checked again before the piece leaves the studio.

What can be remade?

Rings, brooches, earrings, pendants, mismatched sets, and single inherited stones. A brooch can become a pendant, earrings can become a ring, and one ring can become several: we have split an engagement ring, band, and studs into stacking rings for one client.

What does a redesign cost?

Less than an equivalent new piece, since your stones and often your gold come with you. The design fee and setting work are quoted plainly after the first consultation, before anything is touched.

The answer to everything else is a conversation. Start yours.
